(July 23, 2020) – Friends Thomas Cook and Joseph Feeney shook hands in 1992, swearing if either one won the Powerball jackpot, they would split the winnings…no matter who bought the ticket. Tom, of Elk Mound, and Joe, of Menomonie, made good on that handshake when Tom realized a Powerball ticket he bought at Synergy Coop Exit 45 on 2100 County Rd. B in Menomonie for the June 10 drawing was the $22 Million jackpot winner.

LANSING, Mich., June 17, 2020 – A stop for Michigan Lottery tickets at her favorite party store led to a Waterford woman winning a $70 million Powerball jackpot.
Cristy Davis, 40, matched all of the winning numbers – 14-47-54-55-68 and the Powerball 25 – in the Feb. 12 drawing. She bought the winning ticket at the Huron Plaza Liquor, located at 694 West Huron Street in Pontiac.

TALLAHASSEE (March 10, 2020) – The Florida Lottery announces that Sheryll Goedert, 61, of Ocala, managing member of Vacation Life LLC, claimed the $396.9 million jackpot from the POWERBALL® drawing held on January 29, 2020. The Vacation Life LLC chose to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $276,558,034.09.

SACRAMENTO – The California Lottery player who purchased a lucky Powerball® ticket in Floriston (Nevada County) has claimed the $150 million jackpot (less federal taxes). Bill Lawrence is a retiree and happily just celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary. He and his bride had already scheduled their anniversary trip, but given their win, it’s no surprise they may extend the trip.

LANSING, Mich. , Oct. 23, 2019 – A Suttons Bay man who is “rich with family” now has cash to match after winning an $80 million Powerball jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.

David Yax of North Evans is the sole winner of the $80 million jackpot from the September 4 Powerball drawing. Yax matched all six numbers drawn, making him the winner of Erie County’s largest jackpot.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” said Yax. “I checked my ticket early one morning and immediately woke up my wife with the good news.”

NASHVILLE (Aug. 1, 2019) — The $198 million Powerball jackpot won in Hendersonville on July 13, 2019, was claimed today at the Tennessee Lottery’s Nashville headquarters. The prize, sold at Worsham’s Market in Hendersonville, was claimed by the Freedom Trust.

RALEIGH – A 66-year-old grandfather from Cumberland County has come forward to claim his $344.6 million Powerball prize, making him the largest jackpot winner in state history.

MADISON, Wis. (April 23, 2019) – The winner of the largest jackpot in Wisconsin Lottery history came forward to claim the prize today at Wisconsin Lottery Headquarters in Madison. Manuel Franco, who won the Powerball jackpot on March 27, claimed the cash option of approximately $477 million and will receive just over $326 million after state and federal taxes.

NEW YORK (Jan. 25, 2019) – Fifty-six-year-old David Johnson of East New York has claimed the $298.3 million jackpot for the December 26, 2018 Powerball drawing. Johnson has the distinction of winning the second-largest jackpot in New York Lottery history.

RALEIGH – Every week, six friends from Holly Ridge in Onslow County meet up at Dale’s Pub to try their luck in Powerball. Their dedication paid off on Feb. 5 with a $150,000 win.
They like to call themselves the Dale’s Pub Lottery Group.

Barb Brown, of Clinton Township, matched four of the white balls and the Powerball – 09-12-15-31-60 PB: 02 – in the Jan. 29 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Powerplay, her prize was multiplied by two for a $100,000 prize. She bought her winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

CLIVE, Iowa — Of the many titles Tom Vilsack has had in his life, including mayor, state senator, Iowa governor and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, he now has another he admits he never expected: big Powerball winner.
Vilsack claimed a $150,000 Powerball prize Monday at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive.

Lisa Spears of Lovington won $50,000 playing Powerball from the New Mexico Lottery. Spears matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the January 4, 2020 drawing. She bought her winning ticket at Stripes #125 on North Main Street in Lovington, New Mexico.

Baltimore, Md. – Melanie Wright of Baltimore left Maryland Lottery headquarters a happy woman after claiming a $50,000 third-tier prize from the Jan 29 Powerball drawing.
A veteran Lottery player, Melanie has tried her luck with Powerball, Mega Millions, Multi-Match, Pick 3 and Pick 4 for 20 years. Previously, the city resident had won only small amounts from the various drawings. The $6 quick-pick ticket she bought for this drawing delivered a far different outcome.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A group of 28, who work together in Coon Rapids and call their lottery pool “Team APG,” claimed a $1 million Powerball prize this afternoon. “If we had one more number, our group name would be ‘Retired,’” quipped one member.
“I had $1 million sitting on my desk since Saturday!” said Dustin Uran of Minneapolis, who purchases the tickets.

Mary Evans didn’t run out to the store to buy a Powerball ticket. There was no need: She was already covered. The Mechanicsville woman bought her tickets using the Virginia Lottery’s “subscribe online” function to play from her home.
