Gatorade/Steelers 5K Results
A record crowd enjoyed a crisp, cool morning perfect for running the 22nd Annual Gatorade/Steelers 5K on Saturday.
Leah Ahlin of Murrysville and Jed Christiansen of Greenville finished the race as the top male and female runners.В
Louis Flajnik of McKeesport was the winner in the Nose Tackle division for those over 200 pounds.
Dick’s Sporting Goods repeated as Large Corporate Team (1000 employees) champion as did Fleet Feet Sports in the Small Team (3-99 employees) division. Team AHS took the honors for the Medium Team (100-999) winner.

The Steelers Virtual Run and Walk, presented by Gatorade!
The Steelers Run and Walk, presented by Gatorade, was VIRTUAL in 2020! This year Steelers Nation was able to join and complete in the 5K from wherever they waved their terrible towel!

Step 1: Start Body Cooling
Remove excess clothing and equipment to start the body-cooling process.
Step 2: Reduce Body Temp
Move the athlete to a cool/shaded area. Use fans or ice towels as needed.
Step 3: Elevate The Legs
Place the athlete flat on their back.В Elevate the legs above the level of the heart.
Step 4: Monitor Athlete Closely
If the athlete is in significant distress or not showing signs of feeling better, contact emergency medical staff immediately.

About the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund
The Art Rooney Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the late founder of the Steelers, who died in August of 1988 after living most of his life on the North Side. The scholarship annually provides a grant to a North Catholic High School student and funds the Pittsburgh Promise scholarships for two students graduating from Pittsburgh high schools who are residents of the North Side. Since its beginning, the scholarship has awarded grants to more than 90 local students.
About the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research
The Steelers launched the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research in 2016 to support continued research and education regarding brain injuries and treatment of sports-related concussions. The Foundation funds research that it believes is the most promising in the area of sports-related concussions and related conditions.
