Background Information

The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) is a non-profit, government-benefit association owned and operated by its member lotteries. Each MUSL member offers one or more of the games administered by MUSL. All profits are retained by the individual lotteries and are used to fund projects approved by the legislature authorizing each lottery.
Formed in 1987, MUSL’s first multi-state game was “Lotto America”. The game ran four years before being replaced. On April 22, 1992 the first “Powerball” drawing was held. Since then, “Powerball” has become the number one lottery game in the United States and is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Shoutz ® LotteryHUB and Powercode enjoy 3-day record-breaking use by lottery players

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 12, 2016

With the Powerball jackpot now totaling an historic $1.3 billion, players are increasingly seeking to continue their engagement with the Powerball brand through playing Powercode and downloading Shoutz’s award winning LotteryHUB mobile app.

Launched in October 2015, Powercode players who enter the correct Powerball number (the red ball number drawn in each Powerball drawing) during the promotion, will be eligible to play an instant win game for a chance to win gift cards from national retailers. Players are also automatically entered into sweepstakes for a chance to win a series of grand prizes.

During this past weekend (Jan. 8 -10), players flocked to Powercode and enjoyed over 1.2 million instant win game plays. For the three-day period, Powercode sustained an average of 300 game plays per minute per day.

Additionally, LotteryHUB, which debuted in May 2013, was installed by 200,000 avid lottery players and generated just under 1.0 million user sessions. LotteryHUB has twice been named the Best Mobile App by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and won AGA Awards in the Best Direct Digital Marketing and Best Mobile Marketing categories. LotteryHUB is an official app of both Powerball and Mega Millions®, and has become the lottery player’s “go-to” source for winning numbers, information and lottery-related news.

“Lottery products like Powercode and LotteryHUB keep lottery customers coming back, which will help the lotteries selling Powerball continue to generate revenue for the good causes they support across the country,” said Shoutz CEO, Jim Mueller.
