Johnston County woman wins $100,000 playing new scratch-off game with the North Carolina Lottery

A Johnston County woman’s $20 scratch-off paid off in a big way with a $100,000 win, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Lynn Stephenson of Willow Springs purchased the winning Millionaire Bucks ticket from Dave’s Mart and Grill on N.C. 210 in Angier, according to a news release.

Stephenson claimed her prize Thursday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $70,756.

Millionaire Bucks launched in June with four top prizes of $4 million and six prizes of $100,000. Two $4 million top prizes and three $100,000 prizes remain.
