We have a winner! No, really, Florida has a winner!
The Sunshine State has laid claim to its 13th Powerball jackpot winner in history, and it’s a biggie: $396.9 million — a super jackpot during Super Bowl week.
The winning ticket was reportedly sold at the 7-Eleven store located at 4520 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs, in southwest Florida.
Wednesday night’s drawing also produced one $1 million winner in Florida. That ticket was purchased at M&S Food Store, located at 4400 West Sample Road in Coconut Creek. The retailer will receive $1,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Players in Virginia and Ohio also matched the first five numbers.
The overall prize had climbed from the original $394 million estimate late Wednesday.
The numbers drawn Wednesday, Jan. 29:
9-12-15-31-60
with a Powerball of 2
(multiplier 2x)
The next drawing is Saturday night, for just a mere $40 million.
