Mega Millions lottery: Did you win Tuesday’s $274M Mega Millions drawing? Live results, winning numbers (05/19/2020)

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to $274 million with a cash option of $221.8 million.

The winning numbers were: 8, 19, 25, 36 and 66. The Mega Ball drawn was 9 with a Megaplier of 2X.

No one across the country hit Friday’s $266 million drawing. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.

In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket sold at Family Food Market on Route 57 in Hackettstown matched four number and is worth $10,000, lottery officials said.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 11, 17, 32, 33 and 46. The Mega Ball drawn was 25 with a Megaplier of 3X.

It’s been more than three months since a $202 million jackpot winning ticket was bought at Quick Stop on Inman Avenue in Edison for the Feb. 11 drawing. The winner has yet to step forward and will have the option of remaining anonymous thanks to a new law passed in New Jersey earlier this year.

That was the first of two large multi-state jackpots won in Middlesex County this year. On April 8, someone who bought a Powerball ticket at Buy-Rite Liquors on Stelton Road in neighboring Piscataway won a $190 million jackpot. That prize has also yet to be claimed.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The New Jersey Lottery office in Lawrence will be closed until at least May 29 due to COVID-19 and won’t be accepting walk-in claims. You can still claim your winnings — provided they’re less than $599.50 — in person at any retailer.

The lottery is also accepting mailed claims, though officials warn payments might be temporarily delayed. Winners are advised to make copies of the claim form and the winning ticket for their records.

The date for all claims set to expire between March 19 and May 29 has been extended for an additional 30 days from the date of the office opening. For example, a winning ticket that was purchased on March 31, 2019 would normally expire a year later — on March 31, 2020. Due to the extension, the claim in this example will not expire until June 29, 2020. The expiration date of winning tickets might later be extended again.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Wednesday’s lottery drawing has jumped to $101 million with a cash option of $86.2 million.

The winning numbers were: 12, 13, 21, 46 and 57. The Mega Ball was 21 with a Megaplier of was 3X.

While no one hit Tuesday’s $91 million jackpot, a pair of second-prize tickets were sold across the country — one in North Tonawanda, New York worth $1 million and one in Idaho valued at $4 million since it was bought with the Megaplier option for an extra $1. Each matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

In New Jersey, a pair of $10,000 tickets were purchased in liquor stores. They were sold at Roserne’s Wines and Liquors on Route 23 south in Butler and Grand Opening Liquors on High Mountain Road in North Haledon, lottery officials said. Those two tickets both matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball.
