USC cancels Lucky 2020, tickets to be refunded

February 10, 2020

In a breaking Facebook and Instagram post Monday evening, USC Events announced Lucky Festival 2020 has been canceled, with the company citing “recent events” as the cause.

Regarded as one of the biggest EDM events in the Pacific Northwest, Lucky kicks off the festival season for many. Only a few weeks ago, USC publicized GRiZ and NGHTMRE would be two of five headliners for the event. Lucky 2020 was also scheduled to take place over two days instead of one for its ninth year.

The news for the cancellation comes amid organizational problems in USC over the past few weeks. After a lawsuit from Insomniac, the fate of USC’s future events has been publicly questioned. While the lawsuit still leaves much to be determined, Lucky 2020 is USC Events’ first large festival to be canceled. Dance Music Northwest is following coverage of the lawsuit as it develops, so be sure to check out additional information here.

As this story develops, we’ll be sure to update with any additional information. We are monitoring for any dance music events that pop up on these March dates.

So far, NGHTMRE announced he still plans on bringing The Portal Tour to Seattle on March 14th. Promising something special, we can’t wait to see what he has planned for the Pacific Northwest.
