CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery sells out early; most tickets ever sold
The CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery has sold out two days early.
This is the fastest sell out in the 30-year history of the lottery, and the most tickets ever sold.
After all expenses were paid, CHEO received about $5-million from the lottery last year, and this year that number is estimated at $8-million.
CHEO sold 30,000 more tickets this year, compared to 2019, with 115,000 sold.
There’s $4.2-million in prizes available, and one lucky person is already the winner of the Celebrate 2021 prize package, which includes $50,000 cash, suites at the Fairmont Château Laurier for New Year’s Eve, dinner for ten at the Whalesbone on Elgin Street, cleaning for one year and Ottawa Redblacks season tickets.
The complete grand prize is worth $2.8-million, and includes the fully furnished dream home, $100,000, a new car, house cleaning for a year, local gift cards, Ottawa Redblacks season tickets and a full event pass to the next edition of RBC Bluesfest.
