We’re Open: Boulevard creates bingo game to support KC-area businesses
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — With many Kansas City-area businesses struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Boulevard Brewing Company has come up with a new way to help.
The brewery launched a game called “Curbside Carryout BINGO,” featuring a number of local businesses.
The bingo cards are split into five different areas in the Kansas City metro.
“We came up with this fun idea, kind of an interactive idea to drive consumers into their businesses to spend some money and help keep those places afloat,” said David Colgan, on-premise market manager for Boulevard Brewing Company.
To participate, download the bingo cards online and send in receipts for a bingo. Winners will receive a gift card from Boulevard.
We’ve created a Facebook group, We’re Open Kansas City, where members of the community can post businesses serving their community. With many Kansas City-area businesses struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Boulevard Brewing Company has come up with a new way to help.
#WeSeeYouKSHB: KC Crew creates virtual bingo to support local businesses
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If you’re looking for something fun to do while supporting local businesses, you may want to check out virtual live Bunker Bingo.
KC Crew hosts the virtual events three days a week: Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Bingo packets cost $5 and come with six bingo cards.
Whoever is the first to respond bingo, with the correct numbers, wins gift cards to local businesses.
KC Crew founder, Luke Wade said it’s a way for people to have a great time and support local businesses across the metro during the COVID-19 pandemic..
“That’s the whole concept the whole time is really just helping everybody,” Wade said. “And when we did this, it was like, how do we do that. So it was like, reach out to some of the restaurants that we already work with, see if they’ll sell us gift cards at a discount that we can offer and promote.”
Wade said it’s just part of the organization’s core values.
“So when we come up with anything, it’s like how do we help people at the same time,” he said.
